Surface and Subsurfacetontamination Report, APN: 207-0201, Parcels 1,2&3
feet in diameter. There is a wooden weir at the north end of the abandoned tank as well as
a slide gate on the west side of the irrigation canal to allow water to flow under the north-
south access road into the rice field on the subject property.
The next features you encounter as you proceed north along the north-south
access road is a pump, and stand pipe on the north side of a east-west service road
forming a "T"junction with the north-south access road. At this point the power poles
cross the north-south access road to the west side for three power pole lengths and then
crosses back to the east side of the north-south access road.
At the first power pole south of the north boundary line of the subject property on
the north-south south access road there is a rectangular "[T' headwall in the irrigation
canal to the east which is railed and contains two stand pipes and two pumps along with
rip-rap slope protection north and south of the rectangular "U" headwall. There are also
two 24"pipes in the headwall providing southerly flow in the irrigation canal.
There is also a slide gate in the area where the power pole line crosses the north-
south access road to the west to allow water to flow under the north-south access road into
the rice field to the west.
There is also a stand pipe located immediately west of the north-south access road
where the power line crosses the north-south access from the west back to the east again.
There is a pedestrian crossing of Temple Creek about midway of Parcel 2 in an
east-west direction near where Temple Creek turns and goes in a northwest direction.
There is also a weir located about half-way in the north-west leg of Temple creek.
Prourrent and Past Uses: All of the subject property is presently devoted to
agricultural pursuit with rice being the crop produced.
The property owner was questioned and the San Joaquin County Assessor and
Recorder Offices' records were researched which revealed that the subject property has
been under cultivation and producing rice for at least the last forty years and previously
to that it was also devoted to agricultural use.
Future Use: Separating the present single parcel into three parcels will increase the land
value. Also its planned that eventually Green farms will own Parcels 1 and 3 and Luis
Dairy will own Parcel 2.
Property Search: On Thursday, November 2, 2000, a property search was made. An
attempt was made to determine if there were above ground fuel storage tanks, oil drums,
kerosene drums, other petroleum products containers and/or other possible contaminant
receptacles on any of the planned three (3) parcels which could contribute to
contamination on the subject property. On the date of this search, no storage buildings of
any kind were found nor were any of the above found except for an abandoned tank
located on the easterly north-south access road on Parcel 2. This abandoned tank may
Green: Farms and Luis Dairy, 23283 Skiff Road, Escalon, (209) 848-0481
3
