The distribution of irrigation canals <br /> has changed so that the property now resembles its current crop arrangement. <br /> In the 1983 photo, a few of the structures in the northeast corner of the subject property have <br /> been relocated or removed and replaced with new structures. The subject property and its <br /> ,. immediate vicinity otherwise appear unchanged from the 1975 photo. This photo was not <br /> available for reproduction. <br /> 6- In the 1993 photo, the division of crops on the subject property has changed somewhat. The <br /> subject property and its immediate vicinity otherwise appear unchanged from the 1983 photo. <br /> These photos are included in Appendix C of this report. <br /> 2.3 USGS Topographic Maps <br /> The topographic quadrangle depicting the subject property is the U.S. Geological Survey, <br /> ` Thornton,California,7.5 minute series(topographic)quadrangle map. One map,dated 1978,was <br /> available at NOA and from Microsoft Terraserver. <br /> .. In the 1978 map,the subject property is depicted at an elevation of five to 10 feet below mean sea <br /> level, sloping downward to the west. The subject property is roughly square in shape and is <br /> crossed by three irrigation canals. Sycamore Slough defined the northern boundary of the subject <br /> property. Several structures are apparent in the northeast corner of the property. The remainder <br /> of the subject property and the surrounding areas appear to be agricultural land. This map is <br /> included in Appendix C of this report. <br /> 2.4 Interviews <br /> An attempt was made to obtain historical as well as current information relative to the subject <br /> property from the property owner or key site manager of the property. An Environmental <br />` Questionnaire and Disclosure Statement was completed by Mr. Michael Scriven, farmer for <br /> Highway 12 Farms, on July 27, 2004 for use by NOA for this report. A copy of the responses <br /> has been included in this report as Appendix E. Dr. Robinson indicated that Mr. Scriven has <br /> L farmed the subject property for approximately 30 years(personal communication,July 22,2004). <br /> 4 <br />
