L
LNovember 18, 2005
NOA Project Number: E05144A
L /Based on conversation with Mr. Craig during the site visit, the barn is where sulphur is stored prior to
tts application. The length of storage is approximately one day.
L, f The middle terrace is planted to vineyard. The slope between the upper and middle terrace is natural
grasses and mature trees.
✓The lower terrace is the largest in size. The western portion of the terrace is planted to vineyard. The
eastern is covered with seasonal grasses and bushes. The northeastern portion contains several
1r
indentations which contained ponds, water plants and wildlife.
The only visible remnants of the previous mining operations at the property is a natural gas riser and
L associated piping located along the eastern property line. Based on conversation with Mr. Craig the
piles of rock were graded into the pits and hollows and the piles of topsoil were spread across the
L surface for farming activities.
I ✓ Several pole-mounted transformers were observed on the subject property. All were white and
V appeared relatively new.
LY Surrounding properties were surveyed at the time of the site reconnaissance. To the north of the subject
property was the Mokeh mne River. To the south and west of the property were Highway 12 and
LHighway 88,respectively. To the east are rural residences.
L, ✓3.1.9 Pacific Gas&Electric
I Ms.Linda Harkins of Stockton PG&E has stated that the only way to determine the PCB content of
L transformers without blue PCB-free or silver retrofit stickers is to have them tested, a service which
PG&E will provide for a charge."
L
L
L
`
12PersonalCommunication,March 5,2004.
11
4
