Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report 1 rerracon <br /> 6671 & 7101 E. Highway 12 ■ Lodi, California <br /> September 22, 2015 ■ Terracon Project No. NA157033 <br /> 3.1.7 Site Reconnaissance <br /> A visual reconnaissance of the site was conducted on August 26, 2015 by Tamara K. Woods. <br /> Photographs of the site are attached to this report as Appendix B. <br /> Observations made during the site visit are summarized in the following table: <br /> Summary of Site Visit Observations <br /> Site Visit Observations <br /> Site <br /> Current Use of Property The property consists of approximately 60 acres of <br /> grapes and 25 acres of cherries. A modular home is <br /> present on the southern portion of the site. <br /> Evidence of Past Uses of None observed. <br /> Property? <br /> Odors? None observed. <br /> Pools of Liquid? None observed. <br /> Electric or hydraulic Two pole mounted transformers marked with a blue PCB <br /> equipment likely to contain free stickers were observed at the southeastern portion of <br /> polychlorinated biphenyls the site south of the agricultural well. One pole mounted <br /> (PCBs)? transformer was observed at the agricultural well located <br /> west of the adjoining address of 6671 E. Highway 12 and <br /> two pole mounted transformers were observedate the <br /> southwestern portion of the site., No leaks,4ere <br /> observed. <br /> Storage tanks? One approximately 300 gallon above ground storage tank <br /> (AST) not located within secondary containment was <br /> observed west of the modular home. Contents of the <br /> AST unknown_-�Staining and or leaking was note <br /> observed , the ground surfacesurrounding the AST. <br /> Mr,-M*e Manna, site manager, indicated the AST is used <br /> periodically for diesel fuel and indicated the AST is <br /> currently empty. <br /> Drums or other containers? Approximately three 55 gallon, two 25 gallon, and three 5 <br /> gallon drums containing an oily substance were observed <br /> along the southern site boundary south of the modular <br /> home. Soil staining was apparent under the drums and <br /> containers. Mr. _Manna indicated Jim Thorpe Oil <br /> Company removed the containers on September 18, <br /> 2015.
