Photographs of "3
the subject property are attached to this report as Appendix B. A site visit/assessment checklist is
attached to this report as Appendix D.
The subject property was observed to be a flat, roughly rectangular parcel
A single family residence was located on the northwest corner of the parcel. Located to the south of 62.
the residence was a mobile trailer home. The area around the two residences was watered and green,
but the rest of the yard was open land with dry seasonal grasses. Several medium sized trees are located
on the subject property.
An inoperable car was parked in the back area of the subject property. No oil or staining was observed
in the area of the car.
Construction debris was observed on the southern edge of the property. The debris consisted of
concrete, tires,refuse and wood planks.
Two pole-mounted transformers were seen on the property. One was located on the northwest corner
and the other on the northeast corner. These transformers had no stains, and no blue PCB-free or 3.
retrofit stickers were observed.
The interiors of the residences on the subject property were not inspected.
The surrounding properties to the north, east and west were observed to be single family residences.
The property to the south as observed to be a vacant field.
3.1.10 Pacific Gas&Electric
• Ms.Linda Harkins of Stockton PG&E has stated that the only way to determine the PCB content of
transformers without blue PCB-free or silver retrofit stickers is to have them tested, a service which
PG&E will provide for a charge (personal communication,March 5, 2004).
3.2 Past On-Site Sources of Contamination
No potential above- or below-ground on-site potential or known sources of contamination were
identified from past uses of the site except for the following:
• Because of the age of the structures on the subject property,it is possible that lead-based paints
and/or asbestos-containing materials were used in their construction.
7
im.
