WGR
Southwest, finc.
4.0 INFORMATION FROM SITE RECONNAISSANCE AND INTERVIEWS
WGR Southwest, Inc. was granted permission to visit the site by the property owners, and
conducted a site reconnaissance visit on May 14, 2004. The property was inspected for
evidence of hazardous substances, previous uses, and other conditions in accordance with
ASTM Standards E 1527-00. Site photographs are included in Appendix E.
4.1 HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES IN CONNECTION WITH IDENTIFIED USES
No hazardous substances were identified at this property during the site inspection or through
the file and record searches.
kl' 4.2 HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE CONTAINERS AND UNIDENTIFIED SUBSTANCE
CONTAINERS
A few empty glass and metal containers that may have contained at one time a hazardous
material were observed near the south-central property perimeter, but they appear to be the
remains of an old trash pile or,perhaps, used for target practice. There was no evidence of any
dumping of hazardous materials. Refer to the site photographs in Appendix E.
4.3 STORAGE TANKS
No stationary hazardous material aboveground or underground storage tanks were observed
during the site visit or were indicated in the record search. A couple mobile (vehicle or trailer
mounted) tanks used to transfer water were observed. A few temporary water tanks used for
irrigation and water supply for stock were observed.
4.4 INDICATIONS OF PCBs
There were no indications of PCBs noted on the property during the site visit. No records of
any PCB releases were found during the record search for the subject property or immediate
vicinity.
4.5 INDICATIONS OF SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL
As described in Section 4.2, there were a few empty cans and bottles on the south-central side
of the property. Two empty 55-gallon drums (with no lid) were observed in Paddy Creek near
the Tully Road Bridge. The drums did not contain any hazardous substances and most likely
had washed down the creek during high water. There is a fair amount of construction-related
debris in the central part of the property around the existing outbuildings. An abandoned car
body is located on the east side of the property.
5.0 OTHER CONDITIONS OF CONCERN
No other issues or items that warrant concern were observed during the site inspection.
728.PRI.00 Page 12 June 2,2004
