k. UNIFORM FIRE CODE: The following Uniform Fire Code and San Joaquin County Ordinance Code <br /> requirements will be applicable and shall be incorporated in the construction plans before submittal <br /> to the Community Development Department for a building permit. <br /> (1) Fire flow and hydrants will be provided for the proposed project by the use of the following: <br /> A. Appendix III-A and III-B of the California Fire Code. <br /> B. NFPA 1231 of the National Fire Code. <br /> (2) Fire department access roads shall be in accordance with Section 902.2 of the California Fire <br /> Code and the standards adopted by the San Joaquin County Fire Chiefs Association. <br /> (3) Key Boxes: A Knox box shall be installed according to the local fire department's instructions. <br /> (4) Fire extinguishers shall be installed in accordance with California Fire Code, Standard 10-1 of <br /> Volume 2. <br /> (5) Fire permits may be required prior to occupancy to conduct operations hazardous to life or <br /> property. (C.F.C. Section 105.2.1) <br /> (6) Mechanical refrigeration systems shall comply with all applicable codes (ammonia, etc.). <br /> I. UNIFORM BUILDING CODE: The following Uniform Building Code and San Joaquin County <br /> Ordinance requirements will be applicable and shall be incorporated in the construction plans <br /> before submittal to the Building Inspection Division: <br /> (1) Provide parking for the physically disabled. The spaces shall be located as close as possible to <br /> the primary entrance(C.C.R., Title 24). <br /> (2) Provide identification signs for the parking spaces including the "tow away" sign at each <br /> entrance or visible from each space (C.C.R., Title 24). <br /> (3) The slope of a parking space shall not exceed '/4 inch per foot(C.C.R., Title 24). <br /> (4) Provide restrooms conforming with all disabled access requirements (C.C.R., Title 24) <br /> (Uniform Plumbing Code, Table 4-1). <br /> (5) A grading plan shall be submitted and approved and a grading permit issues by the Building <br /> Inspection Division prior to performing any excavation or filling of earth material. <br /> 2. The driveway approach shall be improved in accordance with the requirements of San Joaquin <br /> County Standard R-17 prior to issuance of the occupancy permit.
