Quarterly Monitoring Report—Fourth Quarter of 2009 Page 5
TURNER ROAD VINTNERS January 22,2010
WKA No. 5279.03
_ -0.20 feet msl in MW3 to +3.76 feet msl in MW2. It should be noted that MW3 is located on
the East Facility, nearly 3,300 feet east of the other monitoring wells.
The direction of groundwater flow on December 29 and 30, 2009 was calculated to be
southeasterly with a gradient of 0.0009. Figure 3 depicts estimated groundwater elevation
equipotential contours and water levels at the site as measured on December 29 and 30, 2009.
Historically, groundwater flow has been primarily east-southeast at a relatively flat gradient.
5.2 Site Water Quality Conditions
A summary of groundwater quality conditions, as determined by chemical analyses of the
required constituents of concern, is presented in summary form in Table 3. A summary of the
most recent analyses are presented below:
• Alkalinity as CaCO3 in the sample set ranged from 330 mg/L in MWl and MW2
to 1,000 mg/L in MWS;
• Bicarbonate as CaCO3 in the sample set ranged from 330 mg/L in MW I and
MW2 to 1,000 mg/L in MW5;
• Hydroxide as CaCO3 was below the laboratory-reporting limit of 0.50 mg/L in all
of the samples;
• Calcium in the sample set ranged from 35 mg/L in MW 1 to 160 mg/L in MW5;
• Chloride in the sample set ranged from 37 mg/L in MW3 to 79 mg/L in MW5;
• Fluoride in the sample set ranged from 0.14 mg/L in MW5 to 0.44 mg/L in MW 1;
• Hardness as CaCO3 in the sample set ranged from 150 mg/L in MW 1 and MW2
to 740 mg/L in MW5;
• MBAS were below the laboratory-reporting limit of 0.10 mg/L in all of the
samples;
• Magnesium in the sample set ranged from 15 mg/L in MW1 to 81 mg/L in MW5;
• Sodium in the sample set ranged from 130 mg/L in MW2 to 190 mg/L in MW5;
• Potassium was below the laboratory-reporting limit of 1.0 mg/L in MW 1 through
MW4. Potassium was reported in MW5 at 1.3 mg/L;
