..i
Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report—APN: 229-220-024,025—To adjust two(2)Parcels)
totaling 96.7 acres into one parcel,Parcel A, containing 15 acres and a second parcel,Parcel B, cont-
aining 81.7 acres and then separating out Parcel B(81.7 acres)for future use and development.
The surface soil to a depth of about eight (8)inches is an easily crumbled brown
sandy loam with granular structure and has a moderately acid reaction(pH 5.3). The
moisture equivalent is 12.81 percent.
From 8 to 22 inches the soil is somewhat redder than the surface and it is
compact.
From 22 to 34 inches the soil becomes more yellowish and the prismatic structure
is more pronounced. Some lime is usually encountered and the pH is 7.7.
From 34 to 49 inches, there is silica or lime cemented hardpan or yellowish- or
brownish-gray color, which contains some lime near the surface.
Below the hardpan is a pale brown, massive, slightly calcareous, sandy loam.
It is in very gently sloping or gently undulating lower terraces topography.
Surface drainage is good. The dense hardpan layers restrict subsoil drainage.
MADERA-SAN JOAOUIN SANDY LOAM COMPLEX
The subject property is an area where Madera and San Joaquin Sandy Loam soils
have become so intimately associated that separation on the scale of mapping in the area
is not feasible and so are mapped and classified as Madera-San Joaquin Sandy Loam
complex.
The general characteristics of the Madera-San Joaquin Sandy Loam Complex
soils are as follows:
The surface soil to a depth of eight(8) inches is easily crumbled, brown and has a
moderately acid reaction(pH 5.3).
From 8 to 22 inches the soil is somewhat redder than the surface and is more
compact.
From 22 to 30 inches the soil takes on a more prismatic structure. Hardpan may
be encountered.
Below the hardpan the soil may become a pale brown, massive, slightly
calcareous, sandy loam or may become friable stratified.
Surface drainage is good. The dense hardpan layer restricts subsoil drainage.
The University of California publication entitled"Soils of San Joaquin County,
California,United States Department of Agricultural Soil Conservation Service", issued
Joe Dutra, Jr., 16113 South Victory Road,Oakdale, California 95361 (Project Site) 5
IT) Financial 1500 Ctandifnrd Avwnnn Rnildina r-1 Mndratn rolif min Q5150(Rnainraa)
