No <br /> adverse environmental changes or impacts will occur. <br /> 1. 4 . 3 Surface and Groundwater Quality; Hydrogeology <br /> The E1 Rancho Rock and Sand, Inc. Quarry operates on a zero- <br /> discharge process-water recycling system. A complex of 3 <br /> recycling/settling ponds and 3 water storage ponds allows the <br /> recycling and reuse of the process water. None is discharged or <br /> released. <br /> Potentially significant adverse environmental impacts include: <br /> Potential adverse impact from discharge of silt and fine soils <br /> to the low lying natural drainage channels tributary to Mormon <br /> Slough in the northernmost portion of the lease holding. <br /> Potential adverse impact from quarrying operations to the low <br /> lying natural drainage channels in the northernmost portion of <br /> the lease holding. <br /> I, These impacts will be minimized to a level of insignificance or <br /> avoided by specific mitigation measures including: <br /> Further excavation and quarrying operations shall not take <br /> place in the northernmost portion of the lease holding at <br /> those elevations below 240 feet m.s. l. datum. <br /> The materials from any excavation shall not be deposited into <br /> any watercourse, nor in any way contribute to the pollution <br /> thereof. <br /> No excavation or quarrying operations shall be permitted into <br /> the groundwater table at elevation 75 ft MSLD. If the <br /> groundwater table is intersected during quarrying operations, <br /> those operations shall be halted and the Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region, shall be <br /> notified. <br /> Any potential impacts to surface and ground water quality will be <br /> 3 <br /> CONDOR <br />
