With the following provisions,the total cost pre-approved for completing the October 16, 1997, <br /> gov/-cwphome/ Upgradient Environmental Consultants workplan and the addendum dated November 3, 1997,approved <br /> fundhome.htm <br /> by the San Joaquin County EHD(County)in their October 29, 1997 letter,is$31,689;see the table below <br /> for a breakdown of costs. Per Fund Regulations,costs associated with investigating and remediating non- <br /> petroleum contaminants are not eligible for funding. The Fund is only authorized to reimburse reasonable <br /> and necessary corrective action costs resulting from an eligible,petroleum release. As such,the analytical <br /> ;testing costs for chlorinated hydrocarbon are excluded and not pre-approved.—Upon completion of each <br /> phase of work,you are required to submit a copy of the results to the County Jand Fund for reviews. <br /> Be aware that this pre-approval does not constitute a decision on reimbursement: all reasonable and <br /> necessary corrective action costs for work directed and approved by the County will be eligible for <br /> reimbursement per the terms of your Letter of Commitment at costs consistent with those pre-approved in <br /> this letter. <br /> The actual costs and scope of work perfoimed must be consistent with the pre-approval for it to <br /> remain valid. <br /> • The work products must be acceptable to the County and the Regional Water Quality Control Board. <br /> • If a different scope of work becomes necessary,then you must request pre-approval of costs on the <br /> new scope of work. <br /> • Although I have referred to the Upgradient Environmental Consultants proposal in my pre-approval <br /> above,please be aware that you will be entering into a private contract: the State of California cannot <br /> compel you to sign any specific contract. This letter pre-approves the costs as presented in the <br /> proposal dated November 5, 1997 by Upgradient Environmental Consultants for conducting the work <br /> approved by the County for implementing the October 16, 1997,.Upgradient Environmental <br /> Consultants workplan. <br /> All future costs for corrective action must be approved in writing by Fund staff. <br /> Future costs for corrective action mast meet the requirements of <br /> Our mission is to preserve and enhance the quality of California's water resources,and <br /> �a+♦ Recycled Paper ensure their proper allocation and efficient use for the benefit of present and future generations. <br />
