California Integrated Waste Management Board <br /> The Solid Waste Information System (SWIS) database is maintained by the California Integrated <br /> Waste Management Board (CIWMB). The SWIS database contains an inventory of solid waste <br /> disposal facilities or landfills. These may be active or inactive facilities or open dumps that failed <br /> to meet RCRA Section 2004 criteria for solid waste landfills or disposal sites. The SWIS database <br /> list was reviewed for reference to the subject property and to sites located within one-quarter(1/4) <br /> mile of the subject property. <br /> According to the SWIS database list dated November 1998,the subject property does not appear <br /> on the CIWMB at this time. The CIWMB notes no(0)sites on the which are within the specified <br /> search radius of the subject property. <br /> 8. California Department of Conservation, Division of Oil, Gas <br /> and Geothermal Resources <br /> The California Department of Conservation, Division of Oil, Gas and Geothermal Resources <br /> (DOGGR) was contacted in person in an effort to determine whether any oil or gas wells exist on <br /> the subject property. According to records at the DOGGR, there are two abandoned gas wells <br /> located on the subject property. Copies of the records obtained from the DOGGR are attached to this <br /> report as Appendix C. The information obtained from the DOGGR relative to the abandoned wells <br /> is summarized as follows: <br /> The Quintana Petroleum Corp. Brovelli 1-8 abandoned well is located 1200 feet east and 600 feet <br /> south from the northeast corner of Section 8, Township 4 North, Range 6 East. The drilling of the <br /> gas well commenced on October 23; 1986. The well was drilled to a depth of 4400 feet. The well <br /> was plugged with cement and abandoned on October 27, 1986. The Report of Well Abandonment <br /> was dated December 8, 1986. The DOGGR noted on the Report of Well Abandonment that <br /> "Environmental inspection made and approved 12/07/86". <br /> The Coastal Oil&Gas Corp. Brovelli 1 abandoned well is located 1800 feet south and 1740 feet east <br /> from the northwest corner of Section 9, Township 4 North, Range 6 East. The drilling of the gas <br /> well commenced on December 12, 1987. The well was drilled to a depth of 4250 feet. The well was <br /> plugged with cement and abandoned on December 17, 1987. The Report of Well Abandonment was <br /> dated September 15, 1988. The DOGGR noted on the Report of Well Abandonment that <br /> "Environmental inspection made and approved 7/13/88". <br /> 9. Pacific Gas & Electric Company <br /> The Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) was contacted by telephone in an effort to obtain <br /> information relative to the PCB content of the two pole-top transformers located on the subject <br /> property. According to Mr. Mel Byrd at PG&E, they have no records relative to the date of <br /> 8 <br />
