i
STANDARD PUBLIC ENVIRONMENTAL RECORD SOURCES
County, State and Federal environmental records were reviewed for sites which may have
impacted the subject property. The databases accessed did not indicate a problem or potential
problem with the subject site. Environmental impact from the defunct Harney Landfill Station is
unknown at this time. It is conceivable that there may be groundwater impact in the future.
The Nannizzi's have owned the property for approximately the past twenty years. Due to this
length of ownership, prior owners of the subject property were not investigated.
Past surrounding land use has been agricultural production and very low density residential.
Records at the San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's office indicate vineyards and
walnut and cherry orchards are the predominate crops grown in this area.
There are two primary sources of information which document and define past land use, although
occasionally they are difficult to interpret. The first is the use of aerial photographs. Aerial
photographs of the subject area in the 1950's and 1960's located at the University of California at
Davis indicate no changes in the subject property, as best as could be determined. The second
type of information are United States Geological Survey (USGS) maps. The attached 1971 map
illustrates no structures on the subject property.
INFORMATION FROM SITE RECONNAISSANCE AND INTERVIEWS
The following information was obtained visually and/or through an interview with Paul Nannizzi:
The subject property contains no underground or above ground storage tanks (UST/AST). There
is an on-site, conventional septic system with a tank, leachfield area and seepage pits. There were
no containers noted on-site which contained or previously contained hazardous materials.
The subject property was surveyed for evidence which is indicative of surface and/or subsurface
contamination: There is a transformer on Parcel 1. It is unknown if this transformer contains
polychloride biphenyls (PCBs). If the internal transformer oil contains PCBs and there was a leak
or explosion, it would be the responsibility of the transformer owner to mitigate environmental
contamination. There was no evidence of solid waste disposal. The site was carefully inspected
for environmental concerns originating from discolored, disturbed or subsided soils, stressed
vegetation or unusual or noxious odors. None of these environmental indicators were present.
No hazardous materials are stored in the referenced shed on Parcel 2 and there was no indication
or observations of spills, drums or other items associated with hazardous materials in or around
this shed.
3
6e''t Quality (J'ontrol Inspection
