K L E IN F E L D E R <br /> 3) An existing septic system is located on site, north of the residence. The purpose of the septic <br /> system is to receive domestic sewage. It is common to find that unauthorized or unintended <br /> discharge to septic systems of hazardous materials or petroleum products has occurred. If not <br /> in use, all septic systems must be abandoned in accordance with applicable regulations (see <br /> fSan Joaquin County Environmental Health Services/Public Health Department). Soil <br /> samples can be collected in the vicinity of the septic tank and leach lines to evaluate potential <br /> hazardous materials discharge to the septic system. If additional sampling is not conducted, <br /> the signatories of this report should immediately be further consulted if evidence of <br /> contamination is suspected durino proper septic system abandonment. <br /> 4) A well is located on-site. If Mr. Peter Lindberg intends to abandon the well on site the well <br /> should be abandoned in accordance with applicable local, county, and state regulations. If <br /> the well use is going to change Kleinfelder recommends that groundwater be sampled <br /> according to the requirements for the intended use. <br /> ( 5) Miscellaneous debris (i.c. hard shell gourds) is located in areas of the subject site. <br /> t Kleinfelder reconunends that the items be properly stored. If evidence of contamination is <br /> later discovered during (,radin- the signatories of this report should be contacted. <br /> r <br /> L 6) No surface evidence of contamination was noted on site. Kleinfelder recommends if stained <br /> soil, odorous soil, or other evidence of contamination is encountered on site. the signatories <br /> of this report should be contacted Tor additional consultation. <br /> 7) There are multiple above ground storage tanks located on the subject site. There is no visible <br /> staining surrounding the tanks and the tanks are reported to contain water and propane. If <br /> evidence of contamination is Iound the signatories of this report should be contacted. <br /> This report is subject to limitations in Chapter 8.
