10:00 a.m. 2. USE PERMIT APPLICATION NO. UP-01-12 OF KRUGER <br /> H FOODS, INC. (C/O F & H CONSTRUCTION). A Use Permit <br /> application for a 107.500 sq. ft. building expansion of an existing <br /> pickling facility. The proposed building will consist of a 46,467 sq. ft. <br /> production area.a 53.-533 sq. ft. warehouse area,and a 7, 00 sq. ft. <br /> office. Located approximately 3500 feet from the south side of State <br /> Route 4 on a private casement. The easement is approximately 1200 feet <br /> west of Drais Avenue, Stockton (APN: 183-140-08: Address: 17750 E. <br /> State Route 4 Highway. Stockton). <br /> Jeff Fisher, Associate Planner, Bob CheIG, Bcyers. Inc.: Charles A. Ferrell and Lori Wong, <br /> F &H Construction: Steve Dalton. Fire Prevention: Vance and Dave Kruger, Kruger Foods, Inc. <br /> and Matt Walker. Engineer \\ere present for this item <br /> Mr. Fisher introduced the project. <br /> Mr. Martin told the applicants that the plan shows a major increase in their operation, and asked if <br /> there are any additional tanks or additional evaporation ponds. Mr. Chelli indicated that they <br /> were in the process of separating the waters within the brine area, and on the facility. Mr. Chelli <br /> informed staff that the property has deep well injection and indicated the well location on the <br /> plan. Mr. Chelli indicated the location of the evaporated ponds on the plan and what each pond <br /> was being used for. N-1r. Chelli informed staff that there would be additional ponds, and they plan <br /> to close over the \apor ponds \\1111 In a period of five years. Mr. Chelli indicated that there would <br /> be an increase of tanks. <br /> Mr. Martin asked Mr. Chelli if the brine\\iter is injected into the ground water. Mr. Chelli <br /> indicated that the brim \\-iter is injected about )400 feet and that the well has a capacity 5400 <br /> feet. Mr. Martin asked if the applicants rccci\c a permit from Regional Water Quality Control <br /> District. Mr. Chelli stated that the Federal Agency controls the injection welt. Mr. Ferrell <br /> informed staff that when tile\- pull the Building permit they will supple the Department with the <br /> permit information. <br /> Mr. Ferrell indicated that according to the information that lie received that the Community <br /> Development would not be requiring fire sprinklers. Mr. Dalton informed Mr. Ferrell that it will <br /> be determined by the Building Code. Nir. Dalton indicated that the fire sprinklers may not be <br /> required but the building \vial need fire flow. <br /> Mr. Norgard reviewed Environmental Health Division's requirements. <br /> Mr. Karam revised the Department of Public Works memo item 2. Delete second paragraph. <br /> Mr. Fisher informed the applicants that the Conununity Development Department will need the <br /> Caltrans data before the initial stud\- can be started and that may delay the Planning Commission <br /> date. Mr. Karam suggests that the applicants contact Caltrans and see what they will be <br /> requiring. <br /> Mr. Ferrell asked il'partial pernuttutg ofthe loundation \\-ould be allo\\cd for this project. Mr. <br /> Fisher stated that it could be submitted for plan check only. Mr. Martin informed the applicants <br /> that partial permittin3 could only be for plan check. <br />
