The purpose
of the Letter was to request the shutdown of the ozone sparge system and soil vapor extraction I
system. During the December Operation and Maintenance events, SGI noted significant leaks at
the tubing located in numerous sparge point well boxes. As a result of the observed leaks, the
ozone sparge system was turned offline on December 26, 2008. SGI is not planning on
completing any repairs and restarting the ozone sparge system until SCJEHD has responded to E
the December 19, 2008 Letter. Please contact me with any questions or if you would like to
discuss operation of the ozone sparge system further. 4
Please note: A revised site plan is attached.
Thanks,
Greg
Greg McIver
Senior Project Scientist -
gmaver@thesou rcegro-up;net
The Source Group,Inc.
960 McCourtney Road, Suite F
Grass Valley, California 95949
Phone: 530.272.4200
Cell: 530.592.7755
Fax: 530.272.4211
www,thesourcegroup net A
}
I
1/9/2009
