In a telephone
conversation on September 22, 1998, PHS/EHD agreed with Mr. Hunter that a
proposal for ORC placement should be submitted. PHS/EHD approved Workplan for
OR C Placement and Monitoring dated December 1, 1998 prepared by JJW. However,
since groundwater has never been within the length of the screen section of the three
MW closest to the former UST since their installation, PHS/EHD recommends the
installation of a monitoring well that is properly screened near the former UST area
before any ORC placement so that actual contaminant levels in first groundwater can
be determined. Submit a work plan for:installation of a properly screened monitoring
f well in this area by July 10, 1999.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Jeffrey Wong at (209) 468-0335.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Jeffrey Wong, REHS Margaret Lagorio, REHS
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV Supervisor
c: RWQCB, Central Valley Region -Mark List
c: JJW Geosciences, Inc, - Dan Dottai
c: Underground.Storage Tank Cleanup Fund-Yulya Davidova
