Possible Spill Occurrence: <br />i) Overturning during The volume of oil that could reasonably <br />handling with a be expected to spill is 10-60 gallons. <br />forklift or Operations and maintenance personnel are <br />hydraulic lift trained in safe operation of forklifts and <br />hydraulic lifts to avoid such occurrences. <br />Interior spills would be contained within the <br />building. <br />ii) Leakage during Any equipment that shows signs of <br />storage: leakage is immediately drained of oil or placed <br />in a plastic -lined wood box. The equipment in <br />the building is inspected daily for signs of <br />leakage. No more than 5 to 10 gallons of oil <br />could reasonably be expected to leak before it <br />would be discovered. Leakage would be <br />contained within the building. <br />iii) Spillage during Small spills could occur during transfer <br />transfer: of oil from equipment to 55 -gallon drums or <br />vice versa. Constant supervision is provided <br />during the oil transfer process. No more than 2 <br />to 5 gallons of oil could reasonably be expected <br />to spill. Interior spills would be contained <br />within the building. <br />8) Storage Area #5 Oil -Filled Equipment for Delivery <br />A few pieces of oil -filled electrical equipment are occasionally stored in the <br />Electric Department line -truck parking area located south of the Warehouse <br />Building. This equipment is delivered to and temporarily stored here for up <br />to two weeks. All of the equipment is new or refurbished, and is inspected <br />prior to placement in this area. This equipment has sealed steel -casings and <br />is designed and manufactured for outdoor use. The amount of oil -filled <br />equipment stored in this area varies. The volume of oil in the various pieces <br />of equipment ranges from 10 to 100 gallons. <br />Possible Spill Occurrence: <br />i) Overturning during The volume of oil that could reasonably be <br />handling with a expected to spill is 10-100 gallons. <br />forklift or boom Operations and maintenance personnel are <br />truck: trained in safe operation of forklifts and boom trucks <br />to avoid such occurrences.
