Based on the results from the report, we recommended that further quarterly
groundwater monitoring be suspended immediately, and:,that all the monitoring wells be
abandoned prior to formal site closure.
Your message indicated that suspension on the quarterly monitoring was our decision.
Since the soil and groundwater modeling predicted only minor groundwater impact by
TPH as diesel (44,ug/L maximum for the site), and since fourteen quarters of groundwater
sampling has verified this prediction, we will suspend fu'r'ther quarterly groundwater
`sampling,,unless otherwise directed_by you. .—.: _
We appreciate your cooperation in this matter. Should you have any questions, please
call me at (209) 466-9580.
Sincerely
Frank Yoneshige
Plant Engineer
cc: Ms. Elizabeth Thayer, Central Valley RWQCB ;F
Ms. Margaret Lagorio, San Joaquin County PHS/EHD
Mr. Bud Kopp, Van den Bergh Foods Co.
Mr. Linus Farias, IT Corporation
