• Determine required personalrotective equipment <br /> Pfor each work area <br /> • Assist Field Coordinator in establishing decontamination area locations <br /> • Evaluate and approve contractors regarding health and safety compliance both <br /> ' prior to accepting the contract and upon completion of the project, as <br /> appropriate <br /> • Conduct exposure monitoring as necessary to determine type and extent of <br /> personnel exposure and to assess the appropriateness of protective measures <br /> The Project Health and Safety Representative is Jo Forchione. <br /> ' 2.4 Project Field Coordinator <br /> The Project Field Coordinator (FC) reports to the PM and is responsible for field <br />' implementation of the HASP This includes communicating project health and safety <br /> requirements to all on-site project personnel, field supervision, consultation with the Project <br />' HS Representative regarding changes to the HASP and conducting monthly health and safety <br /> inspections (should the project exceed six weeks duration) The Project FC is responsible for <br /> informing the Project HS Representative and the PM of any changes to the workplan, prior to <br /> implementation, so that health and safetyissues introduced by those changes may be properly <br /> addressed The Project FC will be on-site during all project related activities or will delegate <br /> his responsibilities to qualified supervisory personnel (i e , person(s) having 8-hours of <br /> supervisory training in addition to the OSHA 40-hour 29 CFR 1910 120 training), as <br />' appropriate. <br /> Other responsibilities include <br /> • Reading and being familiar with the Project HASP, as well as appropriate IT <br /> Policies and Procedures ' <br /> C Stopping work as required to ensure personnel safety and protection of property, <br />' or where life or property threatening noncompliance with safety requirements are <br /> found <br />' • Monitoring the use of required protective clothing and safe work practices. <br />' !
