MI request a groundwater <br /> investigation work plan at "T-14".area based on field notes and obvious <br /> soil contamination. <br /> 1996 <br /> 01/25/96 Report of over-excavation and soil sampling received. Soil sample "T-14" <br /> at 1.5 feet below ground surface ('bgs) records TPH-G at 360,000 mg/kg. . <br /> Benzene in this sample at 5,600 mg/kg. After further over-ex, 7-14K soil <br /> sample in same area at deeper point (11.5 'bgs) records TPH-G at <50.0 <br /> mg/kg and Benzene at 0.087 mg/kg. Report indicates 35 cubic yards <br /> removed and transported offsite but no manifest included. <br /> 01/30/96 EHD/ARCO quarterly meeting held today. Based on threat to <br /> groundwater, MI will require groundwater investigation and site is to have <br /> a single monitoring placed at area "T-14/T-14A". A work plan is to be <br /> submitted. <br /> 04111/96 Margaret Lagorio (ML) generate comment letter from 1130 meeting and <br /> sends it off today. ARCO to submit a MW installation work plan. <br /> 05/06/96 MI sends off comment letter requiring work plan for single well to be <br /> submitted by June 15, 1996, and field work to start by July 1, 1996. MI <br /> will require TPH-G, BTEX, and MTBE in soil and groundwater samples. <br /> Well to be sampled for two consecutive quarters and site to be evaluated <br /> for further investigation or additional well placements or closure. <br /> 06/12/96 Fax'ed request for work plan submittal extension received. MI approves <br /> to July 1, 1996 with condition that work be completed by end of July, <br /> 1996. <br /> 07/26/96 Permit application and $89 fee recd today along with site safety plan. <br /> Woodward Drilling to do work on Tuesday July 30th. Apt set. <br /> 07/30/96 Monitoring well 1 installed today. Geologist "Wendy " reports slight soil <br /> contamination. MI witnesses only bentonite and grout placement. Fifteen <br /> feet (15") of 0.02" well screen placed from 10 to TD of 25'bgs. <br /> i <br />
