06 January 2003 <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 02-0896 <br /> Page 5 of 7 <br /> • Lead scavenger compounds EDB and 1,2-DCA by EPA Method 8260B. <br /> Laboratory reports for ground water analyses,testing methods,laboratory quality assurance/quality <br /> control(QA/QC)reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report <br /> with the findings and recommendations. <br /> 3.4. SENSITIVE RECEPTOR SURVEY <br /> A sensitive receptor survey will be conducted to identify receptors whereby environmental and/or <br /> public health could potentially be threatened by the unauthorized release of petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> at the site. The survey will consist of a reconnaissance of the site and surrounding area, review of <br /> well completion reports on file with the Department of Water Resources (DWR), and inquiries to <br /> the local water purveyor to identify sensitive receptors within 2,000 feet of the site, including <br /> municipal wells,domestic wells,monitoring wells,septic systems,surface water,and ground water. <br /> 3.5. REPORT PREPARATION <br /> Upon completion of field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be prepared <br /> presenting the findings of the investigation. The report will include a description of the work <br /> performed and the results of the sampling and analysis. Also, conclusions and applicable <br /> recommendations will be included in the report. The report will be in a format acceptable to the <br /> SJCEHD and CVRWQCB, and will be reviewed and signed by a California Registered Geologist. <br /> 4.0. FIELD PROCEDURES <br /> All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California <br /> Registered Geologist. Procedures to be implemented to advance soil borings, collect soil and <br /> groundwater samples,install and develop monitoring wells, sample handling, sample analysis, and <br /> equipment decontamination are outlined below. <br /> 4.1. SOIL SAMPLING PROCEDURES <br /> The soil boring will be advanced utilizing a truck-mounted drill rig equipped with 8-inch diameter <br /> hollow-stem augers. The hollow-stem auger drilling method is performed without the introduction <br /> of drilling fluids and allows for the collection of relatively undisturbed soil samples.
