Oil saturated rags and absorbent <br /> were observed on the ground in the product oil tank storage area. <br /> -Saturated absorbent was observed on the ground inside the hazardous waste storage area <br /> Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous <br /> waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately clean and <br /> containerize all stained areas and hazardous waste accumulations, and manage according to Title 22 hazardous <br /> waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66265.173 Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> The following containers were found with no lids inside the hazardous waste storage area: <br /> -One 55-gallon steel drum of used paper filters <br /> -One 15-gallon steel drum of used absorbent <br /> -One 5-gallon bucket of used absorbent <br /> -One 15-gallon steel drum of used oil <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately <br /> close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 501 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label stationary hazardous waste tanks. <br /> The used oil tank was observed with an incorrect accumulation start date of 2/16/18. According to disposal records <br /> on site the wast was last picked up on 3/22/18. All hazardous waste tanks shall be marked with the words <br /> "Hazardous Waste"and the accumulation start date.
