The following items are <br /> required to be inspected at least daily: <br /> 1.overfill/spill control equipment; <br /> 2.aboveground portions of the tank system to detect corrosion or releases of water; <br /> 3. data gathered from monitoring and leak-detection equipment; <br /> 4. outside areas of the tank system including secondary containment to detect erosion or signs of releases of <br /> hazardous waste; <br /> 5. for uncovered tanks, the level of waste in the tank. <br /> Immediately begin required inspections of the hazardous waste tank system, and document the items inspected. <br /> Submit a copy of the inspection log for the next 30 days to the EHD. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 512 CCR 66265.192(h)Failure to obtain an assessment or reassessment of a hazardous waste tank system. <br /> Facility does not have current tank assessments for the 650 gallon waste oil and 250 gallon waste antifreeze tank. <br /> The most recent tank assessments for the waste oil and waste antifreeze tanks were dated 8/24/10.The owner or <br /> operator of a hazardous waste tank shall obtain a written reassessment reviewed and certified by an independent, <br /> qualified, professional engineer, registered in California attesting that the system has sufficient structural integrity, is <br /> acceptable for the transferring, storing, and treating of hazardous waste, and that the tanks and containment system <br /> are suitably designed.This assessment shall be valid for a maximum period of 5 years. Immediately have a <br /> reassessment prepared for the 650 gallon waste oil and 250 gallon waste antifreeze tank. Submit a schedule <br /> showing when this will be accomplished to the EHD. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(a)Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br /> The following containers were found on site without accumulation start dates: <br /> -A 15-gallon steel drum of metal fines observed near the metal grinder <br /> -A 15-gallon steel drum of used absorbent observed outside of the hazardous waste storage area <br /> -One 55-gallon steel drum of used paper filters observed inside the hazardous waste storage area <br /> -One 15-gallon steel drum of used absorbent observed inside the hazardous waste storage area <br /> -One 5-gallon bucket of used absorbent inside the hazardous waste storage area <br /> No disposal records were found on site for metal fines and for oily absorbent. Facilities who generate more than <br /> 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days.
