•� 3 <br /> CLEARWATER <br /> G R O U P <br /> Eaviran Mtnlg7 Strveccs <br /> Results of the SVE tests will be used to determine appropriate vapor extraction and treatment <br /> equipment <br /> Combined E <br /> Following completion of the individual soil vapor extraction tests, a combined SVE/AS test will be <br /> performed In order for this testing to be undertaken during high groundwater for the site, it is likely <br /> that groundwater extraction will take place in order to expose a sufficient length of screen for S V E <br /> testing <br /> Air will be delivered to the subsurface through the proposed air sparge point using an air compressor, <br /> which will be fitted with oil, water, and particulate filters Vapors will be concurrently recovered <br /> from the new dual-phase test well using the methods described above It is anticipated combined <br /> SVE/AS testing during GWE will take approximately 3 hours Prior to and throughout the test, static <br /> water levels, dissolved-oxygen concentration, and pressure/vacuum at each observation well will be <br /> measured During the test,pressure and flow rate into the air sparge point will be monitored at routine <br /> intervals The SVE portion of combined test will be conducted in similar fashion to that described <br /> above During the combined test, the equipment will be adjusted such that the air volume extraction <br /> rate is at least three times as great as the air flow rate into the sparge point At the end of the test, <br /> water levels and dissolved-oxygen concentrations will be remeasured at all observation wells Again, <br /> an air sample will be collected from the extracted well at the end of the test <br /> The air samples will be collected in Tedlar bags,labeled, documented in a chain-of-custody, and placed <br /> in a dark cooler for transport to Entech Analytical Labs, Inc (Entech), a DOHS-certified laboratory <br /> located in Sunnyvale, California Entech will analyze the samples for concentrations of TPHg, BTEX, <br /> and MTBE by EPA Methods 8015M/ 8020 <br /> Field protocols for SVE and AS testing are attached <br /> • <br /> ZB178C Workplan for remedial feasibility testing 10 Azigiist 2001 <br />
