No other information on this incident or the Leprino <br /> Foods facility was indicated in the file. <br /> The city ofTracv Public Works Department (Mr. John Jones) was contacted regarding the <br /> abandoned well located adjacent northwest of the subject site. The former well was <br /> located on the City of Tracy property adjacent to and surrounded on the south, east, and <br /> north by the northwest corner of the subject site. The well was reportedly abandoned <br /> following SJCLFD procedures, according io Mr.Jones. <br /> There are no city municipal wells located within 1/2 mile of the subject site. There is no <br /> known ground water contamination associated with the municipal wells in the vicinity of <br /> the subject site. The last sample date was February 10, 1988. Their wells are sampled <br /> every three years for Title 22 Drinking Water limits. <br /> The depth to ground water in the vicinity of the subject site is approximately 7 to 10 feet to <br /> the first aquifer, which is of poor quality. The ground water flow direction is from the <br /> south-southeast to the north-northwest. <br /> The San Toaauin County Public Works Department (Mr. Dick Ling) was contacted <br /> regarding the presence of municipal wells in the vicinity of the subject site. This agency <br /> does not maintain ,municipal wells within three miles of the subject site. There are no wells <br /> in the City of Tracy monitored by this agency that are contaminated, according to Mr. Ling. <br /> The last date samples were taken was April 20, 1987, for Title 22 Drinking Water limits. <br /> The San Toaauin County A_ ljculturnl Commission (Mr. Ray Mahoney) was contacted <br /> regarding the agricultural history of the subject site. This agency maintains records of <br /> restricted pesticide usage on agricultural land. Their records go back only four to five years <br /> in most cases. According to Mr. Ray Mahoney, the carbamate pesticide furadan was used <br /> by Ernest Pombo on alfalfa grown on the subject site in 1987. This was the only record on <br /> file at this agency for the indicated grower. <br /> 3.2 AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY REVIEW <br /> The interpretation of historical aerial photographs is a useful method to obtain information <br /> to assist in identifying past activities that may not be available in agency files or be <br /> currently obvious. <br /> 137-88-1690 8 <br />
