KLEINFELDER <br /> Several years of aerial photography were reviewed by Kleinfeider. The availabie <br /> photography was limited. The photographs reviewed spanned the years 1963 to 1987. <br /> Four years of stereoscopic aerial photographs were reviewed. The photographic review is <br /> summarized by years as follows: <br /> 1963 - The subject site is being used for agriculture. The PG & E facility is present <br /> in the southwest comer adjacent to the subject site. The Mobil Oil Bulk <br /> Plant is present in the northwest comer of the subject site. The H. J. Heinz <br /> facility is present approximately 1,000 feet south of the subject site. There <br /> was obvious ground staining noted at the PG & E, Mobil Oil, and Heinz <br /> facilities. The cause of the staining was not apparent from the photographs. <br /> Other manufacturing facilities are visible to the west of the subject site across <br /> the railroad tracks. No visible staining was associated with the <br /> manufacturing facilities. <br /> 1975 - The former Handyman warehouse and associated facilities on Grant Line <br /> Road are surrounded by the subject site on the west, south, and east. There <br /> are no other significant changes from the 1963 photographs. <br /> 1985 - The subject site is still being used for agriculture. Commercial and industrial <br /> development activities in the area have increased. No environmental <br /> concerns were noted. <br /> 1987 - The Fortifiber manufacturing facility directly west of the PG & E facility has <br /> visible piles of stored material, containers, and ground staining in the back <br /> yard areas. The cause of the staining was not evident. There are no other <br /> significant changes from the 1985 photographs. <br /> 3.3 SITE VISIT <br /> The site visit was conducted to note the potential presence of tanks, wells, pipelines, <br /> transformers, or materials suspected to contain asbestos, and to note surface indications of <br /> past or present chemical use. storage. and/or disposal areas. <br /> 137-58-1690 9 <br />
