Surrogate Spike Recovery
The surrogate %recoveries were within the control limits as indicated in the report
provided by Calscience.
Matrix Spike, Matrix Spike Duplicate, the Relative Percent Differences,
The MS and MSD were analyzed with the sample and the percent recoveries and the
RPDs were within the control limits.
Laboratory Control Sample
LCS samples were analyzed with the sample batch and were within control limits as
stated by Cal-science. The LCS was prepared with the samples and was in the same batch
and analyzed on the same day.
CAM Metals in Soil-EPA Method 6010B and Mercury in Soil EPA Method 7470
Holding Times
Soil samples have six month holding times for metals and a 28 day for mercury. The
sample was analyzed within this time period.
Method Blanks
Method blanks were analyzed with the sample. The blank was contaminate free of all
analytes.
Sensitivity
No dilutions were necessary therefore the target RLs were achieved.
Matrix Spike/Matrix Spike Duplicate
The MS/MSD were analyzed with the samples. The MS and MSD %recoveries and the
RPDs were within the control limits except for antimony, molybdenum, aluminum, iron,
magnesium and manganese. The LCS for these elements were within the control limits.
The results are acceptable.
Laboratory Control Sample
The LCS was prepared and analyzed the same dates as the sample. The LCS results were
within the control limits for%recoveries for all analytes as stated by Calscience.
13
