Mr. Chelli
December 1,2005
10 gpm after 20 minutes. It was noted that water levels in the well declined rapidly when pumping at
rates in excess of about 10.5 gpm, causing the pump to break suction.
The top elevation of the new well casing will be surveyed in the near future.
A four-day aquifer test was concluded in late November and results will be presented under separate
cover by December 20,2005. This report will include baseline water quality results from the new
well and an updated extent of the salt-affected area. Field measurements collected from EW I during
the aquifer test indicated stable electrical conductivities(EC)below the upper tolerance bound for
background EC(985 µS/cm)in the shallow zone. A report supplementing the report Groundwater
Corrective Action Measures, SMS Briners(LSCE,March 2005)will be prepared to describe
recommended corrective action measures. This report will be submitted by February 10, 2006,
immediately following the submittal of the forthcoming 2005 Annual Report.
Please call if you have any comments or questions regarding this well installation report.
Sincerely,
LUHDORFF AND SCALMANINI
CONSULTING ENGINEERS
Vicki Kretsinger
Principal Hydrologist
L GFp
/ /1 4p(iQ`G AfuQF9 fQ,
/
Till Ange/ P.G. 0 , Z a
Project Hy geologist * No. 7789
to
TEA/vk
Enclosures
Attachment 1 - San Joaquin County Well Permit
Attachment 2 - Current Monitoring Network
Attachment 3 - EW l:As-Built Well Profile
Cc: Victor Izzo,Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board
Howard Hold,Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board
Erik Kruger,Kruger Foods,Inc.
Mike Infuma, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
© LUHIIORF` 6 :1X.01 VIANIN'
