The initial <br /> date of waste accumulation shall be clearly marked and visible for inspection on each container used for satellite <br /> accumulation of hazardous waste. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> -name and address of generator <br /> -hazardous properties <br /> -physical state <br /> -composition (contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Since it cannot be determined how long this waste has been stored on site, immediately mark this container with today's <br /> date and contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste, provide proof of correction to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 704 CCR 66273.33(b) Failed to properly manage universal waste lamps. <br /> Two open boxes containing universal waste lamps were observed in the storage area of one of the mechanic/wood <br /> shops near the"plant ops". Universal waste lamps shall be stored in a manner that prevents breakage and release to <br /> the environment. Immediately store all universal waste lamps in a manner that prevents breakage and release to the <br /> n� environment. Any broken universal waste lamps and releases shall be immediately cleaned and containerized. This is a <br /> minor violation. <br /> 709 HSC 25201.16(g) Failed to store used aerosol cans in an accumulation container. <br /> Various non-empty (one of the cans was agitated and some residual paint substance was noted) used/waste aerosol <br /> paint cans were stored without appropriate containerization on the shelves of the cart maintenance shop. The shop <br /> worker, present during the inspection, stated that he can 't use these cans(for various reasons) but since he didn't know <br /> what to do with them he was saving them because he knew they should not be placed in a solid waste container. <br /> Furthermore, Mr. Sasson noted at the time that employees should come to him if they have any non-empty aerosol cans <br /> that need disposal. Waste aerosol cans shall be accumulated in containers that are closed, structurally sound and <br /> compatible with the contents of the universal waste aerosol can and show no leakage, spillage, or damage that could <br /> cause leakage. Immediately containerize and begin managing this waste stream in accordance with Title 22 regulations <br /> and ensure that all waste electronic devices are managed this way in the future.
