Hammer Lane,
Stockton, has been approved by San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (EHD). The plan is a proposal to chemically treat ground water which has
been contaminated due to unauthorized releases from the USTs which were located on
the property.
EHD and the Central Valley Water Quality Control Board have made a tentative
determination that the plan is in compliance with California Health & Safety Code
Chapter 6.7, Section 25299.37 and California Code of Regulations Corrective Action
Requirements, and that the resultant work will not create significant adverse
environmental impacts which exceed the benefits to be gained from cleanup of the
contamination.
The remediation plan is available for public review at EHD, 600 E. Main Street,
Stockton, during normal working hours, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. or on the State
Water Resource Control Board GeoTracker website. The implementation of the
CAP is tentatively scheduled for 1 July 2011 . If no comments are received by EHD, the
work will begin at that time.
