GRANITE CONSTRUCTION <br /> WKA No 2088 07 <br /> April 7, 1995 <br /> Page 7 <br /> MW8 primarily consisted of silty fine sands and clayey silts No soil discoloration or petroleum <br /> odor were noted during the drilling activities Logs for the soil boring (B18) and monitoring <br /> wells (MW7 and MW8) are provided as Plates 4 through 7 <br /> Analytical results revealed no detectable concentrations of TPH or BTEX in soil samples <br /> collected from B18, MW7, and MW8 No elevated concentrations of total lead were detected in <br /> soil samples collected from boring B18 and monitoring wells MW7 and MW8 Analytical results <br /> for the soil samples are summarized in Table 1, laboratory analytical reports and chain-of-custody <br /> documentation are provided in Appendix B <br />' Ground Water Conditions <br /> On January 23, 1995, water samples were collected from monitoring wells MW7 and MW8 <br /> Monitoring wells MW1 through MWC were sampled two weeks earlier on January 9, 1995 A <br /> complete discussion of the quarterly sampling results for these wells can be found in our <br /> Quarterly Status Report dated January 18, 1995, and is on file with the EHD <br /> On January 23, 1995, the depth to water in the eight monitoring wells was measured at <br /> approximately 27 feet below surface grade Based on the ground water measurements, the <br /> I ground water flow direction beneath the site is to the northwest with a hydraulic gradient of <br /> 0 0022 feet/foot <br /> IPrior to sampling, the wells were purged and sampled as described in Appendix A Water <br /> samples were analyzed for TPH and BTEX <br /> I <br /> Analytical results of the ground water samples collected from the newly constructed monitoring <br /> wells MW7 and MWS revealed no detectable concentrations of TPH or BTEX The most recent <br /> ground water sample analytical results, as well as a summary of previous ground water sample <br /> results are included in Table 2, laboratory analytical reports and chain-of-custody documentation <br /> are provided in Appendix B <br /> IRecycled paper &ASSOCIATES INC <br />
