GRANITE CONSTRUCTION WKA No 2088 07 April 7, 1995 Page 7 MW8 primarily consisted of silty fine sands and clayey silts No soil discoloration or petroleum odor were noted during the drilling activities Logs for the soil boring (B18) and monitoring wells (MW7 and MW8) are provided as Plates 4 through 7 Analytical results revealed no detectable concentrations of TPH or BTEX in soil samples collected from B18, MW7, and MW8 No elevated concentrations of total lead were detected in soil samples collected from boring B18 and monitoring wells MW7 and MW8 Analytical results for the soil samples are summarized in Table 1, laboratory analytical reports and chain-of-custody documentation are provided in Appendix B ' Ground Water Conditions On January 23, 1995, water samples were collected from monitoring wells MW7 and MW8 Monitoring wells MW1 through MWC were sampled two weeks earlier on January 9, 1995 A complete discussion of the quarterly sampling results for these wells can be found in our Quarterly Status Report dated January 18, 1995, and is on file with the EHD On January 23, 1995, the depth to water in the eight monitoring wells was measured at approximately 27 feet below surface grade Based on the ground water measurements, the I ground water flow direction beneath the site is to the northwest with a hydraulic gradient of 0 0022 feet/foot IPrior to sampling, the wells were purged and sampled as described in Appendix A Water samples were analyzed for TPH and BTEX I Analytical results of the ground water samples collected from the newly constructed monitoring wells MW7 and MWS revealed no detectable concentrations of TPH or BTEX The most recent ground water sample analytical results, as well as a summary of previous ground water sample results are included in Table 2, laboratory analytical reports and chain-of-custody documentation are provided in Appendix B IRecycled paper &ASSOCIATES INC
