I � i <br />' San Joaquin Motor Pool Facility Health and Safety Plan <br />' The SHSC has stop-work authorization if he determines that an imminent safety hazard <br /> or potentially dangerous situation exists Authorization to proceed with work will be <br /> verified by the HSM The SHSC will be responsible for implementing evacuation <br />' procedures, including the shutting down of appropriate equipment, removing equipment <br /> from areas and coordinating necessary emergency services on-site <br />' 2.4 Team Members <br />' All team members, including all employees of subcontractors working at the site, will be <br /> responsible for understanding and complying with all site health and safety requirements <br /> All members of this group will have been provided any site-specific training regarding <br />' the hazards and protection involved for this particular project Subcontractors will be <br /> responsible to provide their employees with appropriate equipment and clothing <br />' 3.0 GENERAL HEALTH AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS <br /> 3.1 Personnel Training Requirement <br /> Consistent with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 120 regulation covering Hazardous Waste <br /> Operations and Emergency Response, all site personnel are required to be trained in <br />' accordance with the standard At a minimum, all personnel are required to be trained to <br /> recognize the hazards on-site, the provisions of this HSP and the responsible personnel <br />' Prior to arrival on site, each employer shall be responsible for certifying that his field <br /> personnel meet the requirements of pre-assignment training Each employer must <br /> provide a document certifying dates of personnel's 40 hours of training Personnel must <br /> also have eight hours of annual refresher training and this documentation will be <br /> provided Individuals designated as site supervisors are required to have an additional <br />' eight hours of training, and supportive documentation is to be provided and filed <br /> 3.2 Medical Surveillance Requirements <br />' Medical monitoring programs are designed to track the physical condition of employees <br /> on a regular basis as well as survey pre-employment or baseline conditions prior to <br /> potential exposures The medical surveillance program is a part of each employer's <br /> Health and Safety program <br />' 3.2.1 Baseline or Pre-assignment Monitoring <br /> Prior to being assigned to a hazardous or a potentially hazardous activity <br /> involving exposure to toxic matenals, each employee must receive a pre- <br /> assignment or baseline physical The contents of the physical are to be <br /> Idetermined by the employer's medical consultant <br /> 2 <br />
