NOA Drywell Closure and Investigation Work Plan Page 10 of 16
March 18, 2014
Revised March 20, 2014
4.5.2 Soil
' All soil samples collected from the drywells and the sediment/sludge sample collected from the
Concrete Cure Room floor drain will each be analyzed for the following:
• Volatile Organics by EPA Method 8260.
Semi-Volatile Organics by EPA Method 8270
' RCRA Metals by EPA Method 6010
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline by EPA Method 8015
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Diesel by EPA Method 8015
Total Recoverable Petroleum Hydrocarbons by EPA Method 8440
One (1) soil sample from each drywell and one (1) sediment/sludge sample from the Concrete
Cure Room floor drain will additionally be analyzed for the following:
Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) by EPA Method 1311
1 One (1) soil sample will be collected from a drywell will be split between two identical
containers to fulfill the Replicate Samples Quality Control/Quality Assurance requirement (See
Section 4.6). Both containers will be analyzed for the following:
RCRA Metals by EPA Method 6010
' All analyses will be provided by McCampbell Analytical in Pittsburg, California.
4.6 Quality Control and Quality Assurance (QC/QA)
' 4.6.1 Field OC/OA
' Field QC/QA will consist of the following:
Equipment Blanks
' Replicate Samples
One (1) Equipment Blank will be obtained during groundwater sampling and one (1) Equipment
' Blank will be obtained during soil sampling. Quality Control equipment blanks are used to assess
the caliber of field decontamination procedures. After the sampling equipment has been
decontaminated by the appropriate procedures, the certified organic-free water is poured into
the sampling equipment and then into sampling containers. This water will then be analyzed in
' for RCRA Metals by EPA Method 6010 in the same manner as the waste fluid and soil samples.
One (1) Replicate Sample will be obtained during groundwater sampling and one (1) Replicate
' Sample will be collected during soil sampling. Replicate sampling is generally used to determine
the consistency in sampling procedures and analytical methods. Samples will be obtained from
a sampling point and split between two identical containers. Both containers will receive the
' same method of analysis at the laboratory: RCRA Metals by EPA 6010.
902 Industrial Way•Lodi,CA 95240-209.367.3701 •Fax 209.369.4228 02014 Neil O.Anderson&Associates,Inc
