' '30 June 1999
AGE-NC Project No..98-0468-
' Page8of12
monitoring wells.Depth to ground water was measure and recorded prior to conducting ground water
' purging and sampling procedures at the site. A summary of depth to ground water and ground water
elevation measurements is presented in Table 3.
' The' depth to groundwater at the site ranged from 7.68 to 8.10 feet below the top of the well
casing(btoc)(Table 3). Ground water elevation at the site ranged from 1.02 to 0.70 feet below mean
sea level (MSL) in wells MW-4 and MW-3, respectively (Table 3). Groundwater elevation at the
' site increased'an average of 5.35 feet from December 1994 levels.
A ground water elevation contour map for May 1999 is illustrated on Figure,3. Based on ground
' water elevation data, ground water flow direction is inferred to be to the north-northeast. Ground
water gradient for May 1999 was calculated to be 0.006. In general, ground water flow direction and
' gradient for May 1999 appears to be consistent.with previous reported results.
5.3. SOIL'ANALYTICAL RESULTS ,
A total of eleven soil samples were collected from the five soil borings.and analyzed for petroleum
'. hydrocarbon constituents,'as discussed in Section 4.1. A summary of soil sample analytical results!•
are presented in Table 5. The laboratory analytical report is included in Appendix D. Soil sample .
analytical results are detailed below.
5.3:1. . Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Total,Xylenes,
There were no reported detections 'of BTEX constituents for any of-the soil samples analyzed
' (Table 5).
' 5.3.2. Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline
There were no reported detections of TPH-g for any of the soil samples analyzed (Table.5).
5.3.3. Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Diesel
There were no reported detections of TPH-d for any of the soil samples analyzed (Table 5). .
' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
