INFORMATION SHEET ORDL !O. 5-01-055 -2-
TRI VALLEY GROWERS PLANT NO.4
STOCKTON,SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
monitoring events. The groundwater monitoring network is inadequate; an upgradient well and
additional downgradient wells are required by this Order. Because all the existing wells are
located in the application area, it is not possible to determine if the discharge has impacted
groundwater quality.
The Discharger uses a water softener at the facility. Regenerative brine is discharged to the
wastewater system. This flow must be separated from the wastewater flow by 30 December
2001. Other sources of excessive concentrations of dissolved solids, such as the cherry brine,
must also be separated from the wastewater system by 30 December 2001.
These waste discharge requirements contain a time schedule for additional groundwater monitoring
wells, preparation of an Operation and Maintenance Plan with an integral cropping plan for the
land application areas, separation of the, excessive dissolved solids concentration wastewater
system, and wastewater storage improvements.
CAMy Docurrcnts\Miscellaneous\Wyels\O'Brien\TVG#4 INFddoc
