ADRi RONAL INFORMATIONREQUIREMENTS
TRI VALLEY GROH'ERS PLANT NO. 4
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
Please provide the following information:
1. A summary of the regional groundwater quality related to the constituents in the
wastewater, especially nitrate and dissolved solids was provided in the 21 August 2000
submittal. However, because no information on the screened/perforated intervals of the
wells was included, the data is of limited use. Please submit information on the
screened/perforated intervals of the wells for which data is available.
2. Describe any water treatment used to improve the quality of the supply process water or
finished products (i.e. ion exchange or reverse osmosis) and the disposal of water
treatment byproducts such as brines. The 21 August 2000 response to this question
addressed the wastewater treatment rather than the water supply.
3. The 21 August 2000 submittal did not use the 100 year return total annual rainfall
distributed monthly in accordance with normal rainfall patterns. Please resubmit the
monthly water balance demonstrating whether there is adequate disposal capacity for the
100-year return period total annual precipitation, including consideration of at least:
a. Local evaporation data
b. Local precipitation data
c. Projected future wastewater loading rates
d. Projected long-term percolation rates
e. Projected irrigation usage rates
