.l
Aquifer Pump Test Report of Findings
Frontier Transportation, Inc.
November 8, 2006
Page 5
also analyzed for the following physical parameters: permeability, moisture content, dry density,
specific gravity, porosity and TOC.
Laboratory analysis results identified MTBE in a total of six soil samples out of the eight
samples analyzed. MTBE was identified in the shallow soil from 10 ' to 20' bgs, with a maximum of
33 .7 mg/kg (MW-22 @ 10 ') . No MTBE was detected at 5 ' bgs. MTBE attenuated vertically in both
wells. No other oxygenates were detected in any ofthe samples. See Table Abelow for Soil Sample
Results and Appendix B for Laboratory Analytical Reports.
TPH-gas was detected in three samples, with only two elevated levels at 10' bgs. MW-22 and
MW-23 identified TPH-g at 1260 mg/kg and 759 mg/kg, respectively. Low levels to non-detectable
concentrations of BTEX were identified, with the exception of elevated levels at 10 ' bgs. TBA,
DIPS, ETBE, TAME 1 ,2-DCA and EDB were not identified in any of the 8 soil samples collected
and analyzed.
Table A. See Table 1 for complete historical
groundwater monitoring results.
In addition to contaminant analysis, the soil samples collected from MW-23 were analyzed for
physical properties. The average bulk density for the soil in MW-23 was identified at 1 . 51 g/cc and
the average grain density was 2 .71 g/cc. Total porosity was between 42. 1 % and 46.7%, averaging
