Acacia Street. <br /> B-3 Air Monitoring Program and Respiratory Protection: Vapors emitted from soil borings <br /> will be periodically monitored using a PID. In addition,if any unusual strong odors are noted, <br /> work will be temporarily discontinued and the source of the odor evaluated. In the event <br /> concentrations of hydrocarbon vapors measured in the breathing zone exceed 10 parts per million <br /> (the threshold limit value for benzene), work will be suspended and the site evacuated until <br /> engineering controls can be implemented to reduce the hazard. Respiratory equipment will be <br /> available on-site but will only be used if high levels of organic vapors are detected and it is <br /> necessary to secure equipment prior to evacuating the site. <br />
