5. A description of the composition of the wastestream. Identify all chemical
components known or expected to make-up the wastestream and to the
extent known or anticipated, the percent composition (i.e., "Waste rinse
water: 0-20% by volume Cutting Oil, 0-5% by weight Solids, 75-100% tap
water", etc.)
6. To the extend known or expected, a description of the wastestream's
hazard characteristic(s) and contributing waste component(s):
a. Toxic (carcinogens, organics, heavy metals, etc.);
b. Corrosive (acids or alkane);
C. Flammable and/or Combustibles (organics, solvents, etc.); and
d. Reactivity (Sodium metal, oxidizers, etc.).
7.2.6. Upon receipt of a Hazardous Wastestream Generation Review and Approval
Form, the facility's EE or designee will, within three (3) working days of receipt:
1. Review the form for completeness. If the form is incomplete and additional
information is required, return the form to the originating requestor with an
explanation of deficient and/or additional required information.
2. Review the completed form and determine if the new wastestream is
similar to, and can be managed in accordance with, an existing approved
QBR Stockton hazardous wastestream. If so:
a. Assign the existing wastestream identification number to the new
wastestream; and,
b. Manage the new wastestream in accordance with the hazardous
waste management procedures (handling, labeling, storage and
disposal) in place for the existing wastestream. Reference the
approved wastestream's profile reference sheet and the provisions
of this Plan for specific hazardous waste management
requirements.
7.2.7. If it is determined that the new wastestream is not similar and compatible with an
existing approved wastestream, then the EE or designee will, within five (5)
working days of receipt of the completed request form, a complete QBR
Wastestream Profile Evaluation Form (reference Appendix III). Based on the
wastestream's composition and generating process, the EE will identify the
wastestream as any, or all, of the following:
a. As a RCRA Waste as defined by 40 CFR 261,
b. As a California listed waste as defined by 22 CCR Article 9-11, including:
Draft HMMP
March, 2000 HMMP-16
