7.7 Manifesting for Transportation and Offsite Disposal/Recycling of <br />Hazardous Waste <br />7.7.1 All hazardous waste will be manifested and shipped off-site within 90 days of <br />accumulation in accordance with this Plan, Title 22, Division 4.5 of the California <br />Code of Regulations and Title 49, Parts 171-180 of the code of Federal <br />Regulations (49 CFR 171-180). <br />7.7.2 It shall be the responsibility of the facility's EE to insure that all QBR Stockton <br />hazardous waste is properly manifested and shipped for disposal, including <br />preparation and distribution of the following hazardous waste shipping <br />documents (Reference Appendix VIII for instructions and examples): <br />1. Land Ban Notification <br />2. Hazardous Waste Manifest <br />3. Bill of Lading, when applicable <br />7.7.3 It shall be the responsibility of the facility's EE to log off all manifested and <br />shipped hazardous waste storage containers. Within five (5) working days of <br />shipment, the EE will review the Hazardous Waste Storage Container Log and, <br />in the "Manifest No." field, enter the manifest's document number that the <br />container is listed on and enter the shipment date in the field labeled "Ship Date", <br />then initial both entries. <br />7.7.4 The EE will maintain on file all hazardous waste manifest and shipping <br />documentation for a minimum of three (3) years. <br />7.8 Management of Empty Chemical Containers <br />7.8.1 All empty hazardous chemical material containers shall be considered to be a <br />hazardous waste and shall be managed in accordance with the provisions of the <br />QBR Stockton Hazardous Waste Management Plan. <br />7.8.2 No emptied hazardous material or hazardous waste container shall be reused by <br />QBR Stockton personnel except when the container is going to be used to store <br />the waste chemical material originally received in the container AND ONLY when <br />the container is managed in accordance with this Plan. <br />7.8.3 All non -chemical containers and drums shall be managed as follows: <br />a. Inspect all emptied containers/drums. Remove all loose debris. <br />b. Wash the container/drum at the Wash Area. <br />Draft HMMP <br />March, 2000 HMMP-26 <br />
