DRAFT <br />1.6.1 Prohibited Discharges <br />The following types of discharges are prohibited: <br />X Illegal discharges and/or connections: Discharge of pollutants directly or <br />indirectly into the stormwater conveyance system is prohibited. An illegal <br />discharge includes any type of discharge not made-up solely of stormwater, <br />including wash waters, waste waters and other types of process waters, <br />chemicals, including spills and leaks from vehicles and equipment. <br />X Illegal Connections: To establish, use, maintain, or continue an illegal <br />connection to the City of Stockton=s stormwater conveyance system is <br />prohibited, even if the connection was by a valid permit and was legal at the <br />time it was constructed; and <br />X Littering: To throw, deposit, leave, maintain, or keep any refuse, rubbish, <br />garbage, discarded or abandoned objects, articles, or other materials <br />containing pollutants which may result in an illegal discharge is prohibited. <br />X Approved Non-Stormwater Discharges (NDS): Discharges from water line <br />flushing or other potable water sources, landscape irrigation or lawn watering, <br />diverted stream flows, rising ground water, ground water infiltration to storm <br />drains, uncontaminated pumped ground water, foundation or footing drains <br />(not including active groundwater dewatering systems), crawl space pumps, <br />air conditioning condensation, springs, natural riparian habitat or wet -land <br />flows, fire fighting activities, and any other water source not containing <br />pollutants, are allowed. <br />1.6.2 Housekeeping and Facility Maintenance Practices: <br />The following general BMPs shall be implemented and maintained at the QBR site <br />to reduce the discharge of pollutants to the site=s stormwater discharges: <br />X Discharge points: Stormwater discharge points ( storm drains, drainage <br />channels, sheet flow areas, etc.) shall be kept clear throughout the entire <br />facility (indoors and outdoors), including perimeter areas where surface runoff <br />exits the property as well as enters the property.
