DRAFT
the SWPPP, QBR=s SWPPT is responsible for insuring that the
drainage/runoff from the approved NSD does not come into contact with the
site's operational areas and/or co -mingles with the site's industrial storm
water discharges.
In addition to monitoring the site for non -storm water discharges, QBR
personnel will also identify, monitor and describe any non -storm water run-on
from offsite sources. Monthly observations for run-on from offsite sources of
NSD shall be conducted after at least 48 hours of dry weather conditions. In
the event that run-on from an offsite NSD is identified.
2.1.2.3: Monthly Rain Activity Report
QBR=s SWPPT shall track and record the rain activity at their site using the
QBR M&RP MONTHLY RAIN ACTIVITY REPORT. The purpose of the
Monthly Rain Activity Report is to demonstrate and document that the
monthly wet and dry condition observations were conducted in accordance
with the requirements of the GENERAL PERMIT.
2.1.3 Sampling and Testing of Storm Water Runoff
Storm water runoff data may be effectively used as a qualitative tool to track
trends in pollutant loadings as a consequence of specific industrial and
operational management practices. In accordance with Section B of the
GENERAL PERMIT, QBR will sample and analysis the site=s stormwater
discharges at least twice during the wet season (October 1 through May 31).
2.2 QBR SMP Sample Plan
2.3.1 Sampling and Analysis Protocol
Total Suspended Solids (TSS) metals and oil and greases may significantly
impact the quality of storm water runoff from the QBR site. In order to
evaluate these types of pollutants, QBR=s SWPPT has selected the
parameters listed in the site=s Site Sample Plan (reference Section 5:
Appendix 3).
not come in contact with, or are exposed to, industrial -related activities, equipment, locations, or drainage
and/or drainage areas.
CATEMMMPREV2.doc Section 2-37
