Diamond Lumber-Lodi Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Page 7
7.0 REGULATORY SITE VISITS
Ms. Margaret Lagorio, Senior REHS with San Joaquin County PHS/EHD, was present during a
portion of the groundwater sampling event, and inspected the temperature of the blue ice units in
the sample cooler. Ms. Lagorio stated that the temperature was adequate. Ms. Lagorio was
reviewing the April 1992 during the site visit. It should be noted that comments made by the San
Joaquin County PHS/EHD regarding the April 1992 Quarterly Monitoring event were received by
SRK after the September 1992 sampling event.
$A INVENTORY OF DRUMMED MATERIALS
During the quarterly monitoring event on September 1, 1992, an inventory was taken of all drummed
soil cuttings and purged water resulting from the installation of monitoring wells/borings and
groundwater sampling events respectively. Currently there are 13 55-gallon drums on-site resulting
from SRK's subsurface soil and groundwater investigation. The 13 drums generated during SRK's
investigations are composed of 1 partially full drum of water purged during groundwater sampling
events and 12 drums of soil.
Table 3 contains a list of where the drummed materials are located in relation to monitoring wells
and soil borings.
TABLE 3: Drummed Materials Generated from On-Site Monitoring Well Installations
and Groundwater Sampling (September 1992)
bo
ltdntltY.. t41n3 13 #
SRK - MWt 3 55-gallon drums of soil
I 55-gallon drum of water
SRK - MW2 G 55-gallon drums of soil
SRK - MW3 3 55-gallon drums of soil
During the August 1992 quarterly sampling event, the contents of each drum was carefully labelled
1 on the outside of each drum. Analytical soil and groundwater information was included on the drum
label.
9-0 SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
Analytical groundwater samples were not collected from monitoring well SRK-MW2 because there
was an insufficient quantity of water resulting from slow recharge after one casing volume was purged.
Analytical groundwater samples were collected from monitoring wells SRK-MW1 and SRK-MW3.
7777. 7- Steffen Robertson and Kirsten
