Petroleum Station No. 65, Lodi, California AGS 87050-3
arrange to have the water removed from the site with the
At
authorization of U.S.A. Petroleum.
If no floating product is observed in the wells, a sample of the
formation water will be collected after purging of the wells.
Approximately three to four well volumes of water will be purged
from the wells prior to sampling- using a submersible pump. If
floating product is encountered in a well, the well will not be
purged or sampled. Instead, the thickness of the product will be
measured and recorded, and the product will be bailed from the
well and stored in drums onsite.
The water samples will be sealed in laboratory-cleaned glass
vials with Teflon-lined lids, labeled, and immediately placed in
iced storage. Chain of Custody Records will be initiated by the
sampler and will accompany the samples to the analytical
laboratory. Copies of these records will be included in our
Problem Assessment Report.
LABORATORY ANALYSES
Selected soil and water samples will be analyzed for total
petroleum hydrocarbons by modified Environmental Protection
13
Applied GeoSystems
