Petroleum. <br /> If no floating product is observed in the wells, a sample of the <br /> formation water will be collected after purging of the wells. <br /> Approximately three to four well volumes of water will be purged <br /> from the wells prior to sampling- using a submersible pump. If <br /> floating product is encountered in a well, the well will not be <br /> purged or sampled. Instead, the thickness of the product will be <br /> measured and recorded, and the product will be bailed from the <br /> well and stored in drums onsite. <br /> The water samples will be sealed in laboratory-cleaned glass <br /> vials with Teflon-lined lids, labeled, and immediately placed in <br /> iced storage. Chain of Custody Records will be initiated by the <br /> sampler and will accompany the samples to the analytical <br /> laboratory. Copies of these records will be included in our <br /> Problem Assessment Report. <br /> LABORATORY ANALYSES <br /> Selected soil and water samples will be analyzed for total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons by modified Environmental Protection <br /> 13 <br /> Applied GeoSystems <br />
