.
Proposed Work Plan November 4 , 1988
U. S .A. Petroleum Station No. 65, Lodi, California AGS 87050-3
Agency {EPA} Method 8015 and the volatile hydrocarbon
constituents benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylene
isomers by EPA Methods 8020 for soil and 602 for water.
Detection limits suitable for the matrix tests requested and
concentrations present will be stated on the laboratory report.
The samples will be analyzed using solvent extraction, gas
chromatography separation, and photoionization and flame-
ionization detection at Applied GeoSystems ' laboratory. This
laboratory is certified by the State of California for these
analyses.
GRADIENT CALCULATIONS
The ground-water gradient will be calculated to indicate the
direction of ground-water flow at the site. Measurements of
elevation differences between the tops of the well casings will
be made by use of an automatic level. The water levels will be
measured with an electronic water-level indicator. These data
will be combined to calculate the relative elevation of the
ground-water surface in each well and the slope of the
potentiometric surface across the site.
12
Applied Geosysteins
