t Linda Turkette, EHD, was on site to witness cementing
operations .
' Moved to MW # 3 , Surface location moved about 6 ' west of
silt fill were removed at the surface. From 2 ' to 41 : fill
material . From 4 ' to 391 : light brown to reddish tinged
clay, moist with clumps of cuttings to 2" to about 241 ,
clumps of cuttings to about 3" in length from 24' to 39 . No
brownish clay, almost dry, no odor, very fine cuttings .
From 44' to 471 : brownish clay as above grading to brownish
' silt. Sample # 1 , at 47 ' to 48 1/21 , brownish silt and
dense brown clay in core, carbon inclusions . From 47 ' to
52 ' : dense, brownish clay as above, cuttings to 1 "size.
' Sample # 2, at 52 ' to 53 1/2 ' , brownish, dense, silty clay,
above . Sample # 4 at 67 ' to 68 1/21 , dense, brownish clay
' grading to clayey silt at 67 1/21 , possible hydrocarbon
odor. From 67 ' to 72 ' : brownish clay as above, large balls
indicating water content, no silt in surface returns Sample
# 5 at 72 ' to 73 1/21 , very silty, brownish, wet clay, water
table fudged to be at 721 . Silty clay on bit From 72 ' to
841 . brownish, silty clay on bit at 841 , cuttings brownish
silty clay probably from above bottom. Attempted to run 2"
casing, would not go to bottom, pushed to 83 1/2 ' Well
