PRASE I=ROGEOLOGIC ASSESSMENT WORK PLAN <br /> 7910 Loser Sacramento Road, Stockton, California <br /> Delta Project No. 40-M-147 <br /> P age 2 <br /> Drill six exploratory soil borings. <br /> Collect soil samples at 5-foot intervals with a modified California sampler and classify <br /> soils according to the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS). <br /> ,S <br /> E; a Complete three soil borings as 4-inch-diameter monitoring wells. <br /> • Screen the recovered soil samples with a portable photoionization detector (PID) for <br /> total organic vapors. <br /> Select soil samples based on soil-screening results from each soil boring to be sent to <br /> a California certified laboratory for chemical analysis. <br /> • Submit selected soil samples to a California-certified laboratory for chemical analysis <br /> of the following petroleum constituents: benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene <br /> ;a (BTEX), total purgeable hydrocarbons (TPH), and total lead by U.S.'Environmental <br /> Protection Agency (EPA) Methods 8020, 8015 modified, and 6010, respectively. <br /> E� • Develop and survey each monitoringwell and collect ground water §ampler. <br /> • Submit ground water samples to a California-certified laboratory for chemical '- <br /> analysis of the following petroleum hydrocarbon constituents: BTEX,TPH,.and total <br /> ' lead by EPA Method 602, 8015 modified, and 6010, respectively. <br /> A <br /> Prepare a report of our findings with recommendations regarding future assessment <br /> and/or remedial activities. <br /> 2.0 BACKGROUND INFORMATION <br /> 2.1 Previous Reports <br /> A tank closure report was prepared by Delta dated April 6, 1989.
