EMPLYEE: Arthur Graham <br />TECHNICIAN <br />RESPONSIBILITIES: <br />MSE's professional staff will be supported by Hazardous Materials Technicians, who ensure that <br />hazardous materials are properly segregated for packaging, transport, and disposal. Their duties <br />include site set-up, greeting customers, completing surveys, managing re -use, unloading, bulking <br />flammable liquids and latex paint, operating equipment, and photographing vehicles with suspect <br />loads or excessively large loads. Other duties as required under supervision of Project Manager. <br />QUALIFICATIONS: <br />1. High School diploma or equivalent. <br />2. Ability to read and understand English language. <br />3. Ability to work as a member of a team. <br />4. Operate equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, paint crusher and drum dolly. <br />TRAINING: <br />• 40 -hour training course (with 8 -hour annual refresher) in Hazardous Waste Operations <br />and Emergency Response as prescribed by the Occupational Health and Safety <br />Administration in 29 CFR 1910.120. <br />• hijury and Illness Prevention Program Training (w/bi-annual refresher) <br />• Job specific training specified by the Occupational Safety and Health Standards of Title <br />29 (Annual refresher or as necessary to accommodate job duties) <br />• Respirator Protection and Personal Protective Equipment Training in accordance with <br />29 CFR 1910, Subparts 1 and 2 (annual refresher) <br />• Spill response protocols (annual refresher) <br />• Contingency plans and implementation (annual refresher) <br />• Forklift Certification <br />Page 9 <br />
