In the event the Permittee identifies an immediate or potential threat to human <br />healt and/or the environment, discovers new releases of hazardous waste <br />and/o- hazardous constituents, or discovers new SWMUs not previously <br />identi Fied, the Permittee shall notify the Department orally within 48 hours of <br />discovery and notify the Department in writing within 10 days of such <br />discovery summarizing the findings including the immediacy and magnitude <br />of an potential threat(s) to human health and/or the environment. <br />b. The Department may require the Permittee to investigate, mitigate and/or take <br />other applicable action to address any immediate or potential threats to human <br />health and/or the environment, newly identified releases of hazardous waste <br />and/or hazardous constituents, or newly identified SWMUs. Upon written <br />request by the Department, the Permittee shall submit to the Department any <br />required documents which may include, but are not limited to, Interim <br />Mea ures (IM) Workplans and/or RCRA Facility Investigation Workplans. <br />The required documents shall be developed in a manner consistent with the <br />appli able scope of work appended to this Permit or with other guidance to be <br />Prov ded by the Department. The Department will review the required <br />documents and notify the Permittee in writing of the Department's approval or <br />disapproval, including any comments and/or modification, in accordance with <br />Secti n IV.F of this permit. If the Department determines that immediate <br />actio is required, the Department's project coordinator may orally authorize <br />the I ermittee to act prior to the Department's receipt or approval of any <br />requ red workplans. <br />19 <br />
